I'd been searching for a set of coated stainless steel strings and only came across Elixirs and Warwick EMPs. I heard bad reviews about the Warwicks, so used the Elixirs.
Wait, 5 bucks a set, stainless, balanced, coated -AND- Red to boot?! Awesome!!! What's not to love! I'm buying a dozen! The red will look perfect on my new-to-me white thunderbird.I'm sure they are probably a great string but the fact that they are red is a huge turn off for me. Maybe other people felt they same way.

) but just couldn't vibe with it even after I performed a setup with D'Addario XL's (my favorite strings). But these GHS's feel good. I like the tension and smoothness overall. These remind me of the DR black coated strings, Black Beauties I think they are? In terms of feel, I prefer these much more over Elixers. @Jon Moody any reason why those have to be red? I bet if they were black they'd sell like hotcakes.
Are these strings higher tension or have any flex to them?????
They don't feel high tension like some brands. I like higher tension but I do like these. Are these strings higher tension or have any flex to them?????
Thinking of ordering a few sets.
Thx.
I just ordered 4 sets!
Brent
4 actually.I think for every 5 sets you get 1 free.
