GHS Infinity Steels?

$7.50 for a 5 string set, I couldn't pass em up. I've got a friends Cort A5 that I've been trying to get along with... set it up real good with a new set of my favorite D'Addarios and just don't feel any mojo. I'll slap these on and see how it reacts.
Don't have experience with GHS, but might add to the list of coated stainless steel the DR Dragonskin.
Wait, 5 bucks a set, stainless, balanced, coated -AND- Red to boot?! Awesome!!! What's not to love! I'm buying a dozen! The red will look perfect on my new-to-me white thunderbird.
Edit: I bought a dozen and got 4 free. 16 sets of strings for $60. I hope I like em cause I ain't buying strings for a looong time.

Got my GHS infinity steels today and strung up my Fender Marcus Miller Jazz. So far I'm really digging them. After my second order gets here I'll have about 15 sets so....
Here's my first batch and first strung up bass. GHS is probably going crazy on why dozens of these sets are suddenly getting shipped out. My first order was 10, second was 5. Every 4 sets you get one free and they throw in stickers!!
They are definitely red but it's not overwhelming, I really like the unique look. And the tone...oh man the tone is great.

Ok initial reaction...
Not a fan of the red to be honest. Although, it is a darker red than I expected which to me is more attractive. Strangely, the E string is darker in color than the rest.
Feel wise, I like them. Previously had spent a number of weeks trying to get along with this bass (it's on "indefinite storage" for one of my best friends. He hadn't even opened up the case in over 3 years. Guitar players.
) but just couldn't vibe with it even after I performed a setup with D'Addario XL's (my favorite strings). But these GHS's feel good. I like the tension and smoothness overall. These remind me of the DR black coated strings, Black Beauties I think they are? In terms of feel, I prefer these much more over Elixers.
Sound wise, they are very bright but not harsh. I found D'Addario Pro Steels to be rather offensive in their top end zing and accentuated fret buzz. These Infinity Steels are more... hmm... tame. Yet, there's a richness to the midrange here vs the slight scoop in the previous nickel XLs that were on. It's more growly. I'm a fan of growly tones.
I'm looking forward to spend more time with this bass and I'll update as the weeks go by how the strings react/change/inspire.

@Jon Moody any reason why those have to be red? I bet if they were black they'd sell like hotcakes.

We're not looking to "expand" the colored bass string offerings, so seeing a black set is not a possibility.
If it's anything like the sales of our colored Bajo strings though, the Red outsell the Black 3 to 1.
Are these strings higher tension or have any flex to them?????

Compared to what?
They're inline with our usual sets, so if you play a medium set of GHS, that's what you'll get with these.
They don't feel high tension like some brands. I like higher tension but I do like these.

Got to play em out at practice the other night, can't vouch for tone because I was struggling with tone all night between new basss and not my amp and new band setting, but they spoke well and felt great on both hands, definitely more forgiving than the Hi-Beams I've been used to.
