GHS Pressure Wounds: I would interested to know what scale length you would need to purchase in order to fit these strings onto a standard long bass (34) with a P bass type string arrangement. Mine is Yamaha Attitude II. Anyway , I was about to restring with the pressure wounds but noticed before fitting that the fatter part of the E string would be wrapped around the tuning post which I believe is not correct and could lead to the breakage of the core wire. The information on GHSs website details the string length for long scale string as 38, this is from the ball end to the silk. This length would probably be OK if you have through the body type string arrangement but its too long for my bass. If you went for the medium scale length of 34 ball end to silk then these would be way to short. Any suggestions as I have two sets of ML7200 which I cant use so will probably sell them on ebay?
