Ah, well, there's the little detail that Estrella's camera was seized in the first quarter, so the team wouldn't have had much chance to access the film, anyway.;) Although he had no equipment with him, he could have passed it on at halftime.

And this took place less than a week after the memo reminding teams about the prohibition of such practices. Here's what Goodell said afterward:

"This episode represents a calculated and deliberate attempt to avoid longstanding rules designed to encourage fair play and promote honest competition on the playing field," Goodell said in a letter to the Patriots."

Cheating, violating the rules...semantics.:)

All I can say about it is that if anyone out there thinks that THEIR TEAM has never done anything remotely unethical to gain an advantage over another team needs to put down the crack pipe. :eek:

The Pats broke a league rule and if you don't agree with the punishment take it up with the NFL since they decided on what should be done.

"Haters" = an attempt to cast the bad guys as the victims, nothing more. That's why gangsta rappers started using the term.

Thanks for reviving the Nixon defense--how many other teams have been caught?

I'm sure if it was, say, the Dolphins, you'd be well over it.:rolleyes:

I didn't intend to extend this argument, but the defense has been so vehement.
