The part I don't understand....CNC routing has come a long way.....how can 1 of ????+ cost so much?

While I want american builds and american assembly.....I don't understand how a simple mass produced bass can cost so much?

I program a CNC router for a living, and once the program is made....no other work is needed.

i liked the bfg, but the lp body never looked right on a bass to me. i remember that denison kimball did a promo video for the bfg. that guy rules.

i love les paul basses..especially the carved top gibsons. the price though for mass produced is absolutely stupid. especially because Gibson isnt super sought after in the bass realm like they are guitar wise.

ive always said i wanted a Les Paul Custom black beauty bass. black pups, triple bound , pearl blocks ebony board big fat diamond on the HS. truth of the matter is even if gibson made one id have to live 2 lifetimes or sell every bass i have just to get one, thats deeply lame

Big +1 on that. The headstock ruins the look of the bass. Makes it look cheap.

what is it suposed to look like?? as if it was burnt in a house fire? cause it definatly looks like it.

anyways i could say it's ugly, but i've seen so many uglier basses around TB. it's actually pretty basic looking minus that burnt in a house fire/snake skin/40 year old rippled leather change purse finish. my overall opinion?? it looks like the most random crap ever, especially those wooden knobs.....

It's not for me...I'm certainly not the intended market for something that looks like that. But, those wood knobs are 100% out of place... they match nothing.

Wow!!! Gibson makes a bass version of one of their lowest priced Les Paul models, and charges way too much for the bass version as usual. The triple pickups look nice I must concede. Not interested however.

I love that finish. However the wooden knobs totally don't match that look. It would be nicer as a doublecut as well. Very industrial looking.
