I wish there were specimen's locally that I could try out.
I need some advice from the guys that own either the Midtown or ES335 bass, or both. Generally speaking the ES335 bass is selling for about a thousand dollars more than the Midtown.
I understand the difference in the body construction but, the Midtown seems to have much nicer embellishments such as, binding around the top of the body, a bound fretboard, etc.
Also, I am not seeing the orange Gibson sticker/info inside the F hole on the Midtown's, is this normal?
Those in the know, please educate me! Buying one of these could hopefully, possibly, but probably not, ease the pain of selling (most likely) my Ripper today.

BPE. I just have to tell you, that’s one beautiful black Gibson les Paul bass you posted on that other thread out here. Is that your’s too? It is SICK! That should more than help with the loss of your Ripper.
