I've had this 67 Gibson EB-2C since the mid 90's now. Love this bass.

I have had an EB-2dc since about 1982 or 1983. It looks like yours, except with two pickups and an intonable bridge. And I love mine, too.

Just as an update, I'm 178 on the list, and won't be going anywhere. The list:

EB-2dc
2013 EB-4
1991 Thunderbird (the Flamingo)
2001 Thunderbird (the pixie dust bass)
2015 Thunderbird

For good measure:
2005 SG guitar
200? Epiphone Pro IV converted to passive and fretless.

For anyone interested-and I imagine interest will be low, because it's gold plated and few Gibson are as such in stock form-I am offering you the Babicz 3 point bridge designed for Gibson. I love it very much but do not have a bass "home" for it-let me know if you want it for your Gibson or another similar application.

(Apologies in advance if this offends any of you or the moderators-I deemed this the "best" thread to offer my bridge. I am not particularly interested in getting rich, but more that it does not go to waste.)

A 2014 Gibson Midtown Signature in Graphite Pearl, VGC altogether, came with the original case. I have yet to set it up to my liking but is definitely an interesting piece...to be continued...

Looking at all of my Gibson basses, I might have to take a chill pill...

Beautiful! I bet that color looks great in person. I remember the color changes wildly depending on the ambient light.

It's my first Midtown and even the ones that I have tried belonged to the first generation (with symmetric horns) so I really didn't know what to expect.

It's a very polite-sounding instrument, balances fine in my lap but not on the strap which really doesn't matter to me since I only play seated nowadays. Very different in just about every aspect from my EB-2, truly worlds apart but that's what makes it interesting...

I'm probably going to be playing it at tonight's jam session, old strings (probably the factory ones...ugh...but I've got nothing in long scale at the moment) be damned and report back...

You should give it a try, they're not that rare and while the prices have gone up over the last couple of years it still sells in the neighbourhood of used SG Bass prices which is not horrible IMO...

Here are my 2 Gibson basses.

I've had the Ripper for 25 years ... thinking of letting her go though. I'm actually loving the newish SG Standard.

I used to have a G-3 natural with a maple board.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn’t sell your Ripper.

Thanks, It's the Tobacco Sunburst, an early one with a 6 digit s/n. The electronics were replaced by someone prior to me buying it. I actually like it being simpler as there is no 4 position switch, etc, but it is in fabulous condition.

Club member #280 checking in. Been a while since I posted my Gibson pics is this club, I’ve mainly been focused on Thunderbirds for the last several years. Anyway, here’s a shot of the family as it stands today…

Every last one of them is a fantastic player and each brings something different to the mix. I’ll probably put the 2013 EB 5 string up for sale soon. I dread selling the EB, it’s one of the best and most versatile players of the bunch, but my arthritis has progressed to the point that 5 string basses are getting pretty uncomfortable to play. Hopefully it’ll find a good home.
