This is my old workhorse. It's the bass that I have owned the longest.
Les Paul Special 5. Not sure about the year though, the serial number is 94******, does that mean that it's a '94?

Is the case "fur" really that color or is that due to the lighting/camera white balance, etc.?

Maybe so---but my first owned was back in 1969, at a time where only EB-0s, EB1's, EB-2's, and EB-3's were all that were available. Mine was an EB-2 as seen in my sig.
My current Gibsons are a 2000 TBird and a '96 LPB-2 Premium.
That's a beautiful bass!Original Gibson EB pickup is now installed in my Epi EB-1...
any pic of victory basses???????? i had oone some put a bart in the middle and gold leafed the entire thing its wass sooooo ugly... never saw a real one... i have a manual for the victory bass if anybody wants it
