Gibson custom colors for T-bird refin

Hi -- I've got an Epi bird that's calling out for a refin. I want to stick to the correct 1963 custom colors available -- If you're not familiar, check these out:

In essence they line up with the Fender colors.

I'm leaning toward a finish that you can't buy right now -- so no Pelham blue or red or silver.

my preferences right now:

Frost blue (Like sonic blue, which I love on P's)

Or Golden Mist, which is exactly the same as Fender's Shoreline Gold. Couldn't find any non-yellowed pics, so here's a Thinline Tele:

If you don't like one of the poll options, shout out a suggestion! I'm getting a lot of 'something else' - if you choose that, at least toss out an alternative.

An interesting bass - I think I'd like either the blue or the white, but I can't quite do both.

Again, I'm looking for something true to the original array of custom colors... I'd like this to look more '63. It'll probably get a chrome bridge cover, and definitely correct knobs.

Pickguard could go black, too... might look good on either color.

Hi.

That's supposed to be the bass the late Leon Wilkeson, RIP, played during the RCB years. As it was after the plane crash, the bass had the extension "horn" to able him to play with a better position. The custom paint job was said to be the result of the repairs after that same crash. There was some debate about the facts, claims and fiction when that bass was up for auction in e-bay a while back.

White is always a good choice .

I voted frost blue because that's the color I'm currently lusting after, but gold would look nice too. You can't go wrong with either IMO.

if you're sticking to that colour palette, my vote goes for Kerry Green. Couple that with a tort guard, and you'll have one, sexy Surfin' Bird.

My first choice: Kerry Green. Second choice: Frost Blue.

Hogie, my guess is since it's an Epi he just wants it to look more like a "true" vintage T-Bird.

This is partly why I'm thinking this one - It was a custom color option for T-birds, but I've never seen one and couldn't find a pic. In fact, I couldn't find much of anything Gibson in the color, except one firebird with a clear so yellowed that it looked like a les paul goldtop.

Would be cool to have a correct but unheard-of color.

It's just a bone-stock current-model Epi in vintage burst. Seen one, seen 'em all -- which is the reason for the refin!

Nice collection - I've seen those pics around. I do like the color ranges you have, and although I'm not usually a fan of green instruments, yours look pretty good!

Interesting suggestion - not exactly available as a custom color for them, but certainly period-correct. That might be a whole lotta yellow - there's a lot more wood here than a junior! But TV yellow w/a black pickguard... good thought!

Poly mist that yellowed to a gold

That was the best pic I could find too -- if you look at the back of the headstock, you can see that the clear was sanded away to read the serial # better. That gives a much better approximation of the color, and shows just how yellow that clear got!

A cool-looking guitar in its own right, but more gold-y than I'm after.
