In the US I think that would be a $800-$1000 bass, so for Europe I'd say you picked up a great deal!!
The great thing about the T'bird IMHO is a few battle scars don't matter one bit, it's not a pretty bass so it can take a fair amount of cosmetic damage and still look good!!!
The bass world would be a duller place with out T'birds!

Sometimes those US prices have me wondering also, no such deals in the northern europe, unfortunately. I have even been thinkin of buying some and as my friends ship their cars..., well anything fits in the trunk.
Good to hear it had the case as well, those are quite hard to find.

Sweet find! I bought a 'bird last year (I had wanted one since I was a mere teenager), and it's the only bass I've had that gives me a smile every time I put it on to play.

Sounds like there's some bird lovers and owners in here. What kind of music do you play with your T'Birds? Anyone pushed it through a SVT-CL and into a SVT 6(or 8)x10?

No - Neck dive, but you can deal with that. I'm not crazy about the 3 point bridges either (but I have two basses with them). Hipshot makes a sick replacement now.

I bought a brand new one just like that last year and I have no problems with neck dive, the neck is long though, it takes a little getting used to when going from say a Ric or a Fender to a T-Bird. It sounds good and plays great, and they're made very well. The only problem I have is that it is noisy sometimes in certain rooms which I didn't expect a bass with humbuckers on it to have.
I never noticed neck-dive as an issue when playing a T'bird... different strap location? different tuners?
