I'm a semi-regular gigging bassist, been playing for 11 years, cut my teeth in extreme metal but mostly doing funk-jazz and wedding covers of late
My rig has been static for the past 5 years or so: Fender Highway 1 Jazz w/ Nordstrand noiseless and Audere pre into a Phil Jones Super Flightcase, with a Korg Pitchback in between.
I also play a little string bass, amongst many other instruments, using a plywood 3/4 with K&K Bass Max.
Have a Korg G5 on the way to try and cure my synth bass bug without forking out the big bucks on something like an Industrial Radio; I do play the piano but I just can't reconcile playing bass on a keyboard, kills my groove
