How about thinking outside the (gift) box, and go to a "curiosity" shop (read: that little hole in the wall with eccentric stuff) and poke around for a cool handmade bauble or bracelet or something a tad more "personal picked" than a band t-shirt or a CD...
At 3 months, who knows how "far along" you are relationship-wise, but it's the little things that help "anchor" feelings...
Seriously, go the unbeaten path and find a cool little something, even if you're not entirely sure it's gonna "go over". Say something like "I saw this, and thought it was cool and you would look like a total Betty wearing it...

I've been dating my girl for over 2 years and I still am baffled everytime one of these occasions come up. She doesn't like music, she doesn't like flowers, she doesn't like teddy bears, she likes books, but a very small amount of them. She's getting sick of DVDs as gifts. I'm doomed.
