Gig Bag or HSC

When you go to a gig or practice. Do you use your gig bag or HSC. Guess I'm wondering if you trust the gig bag.

I posted a similar thing a long time ago. FWIW, it seems to come around a lot. Although, some will argue the point like it’s a religion. I prefer hard cases and I’m to the point now where all of mine have one. I still have 2 gig bags... want to buy one?

I have several Mono , incase , Protech , Access etc etc . I also have several G&G . I take the bag every time . I can carry 3 of them HSC are heavy too .

indubitably.

you'd have to actually gig a lot to appreciate them. i'm not gigging as much as i once was, but i still prefer them. OTOH: if you can't keep your ax with you at all times (loading ins/outs), or if it's going to be handled by others = a hard case is better. it's good to have both.

Gig bag for ease of use, hard case if you actually care if your bass is damaged or not and can't watch it like a hawk around people who secretly could care less about the well being of your bass.

Never ceases to amaze...love how people spend enough time to call out a poster for posting a thread about something that has been asked before but also provide no helpful responses. So what if it's been asked. Different people respond and perhaps views change on the matter.

I always go with HSC's for my basses. Better protection when transporting. Perhaps something a little more breathable if they are going to be stationary at home.
