Yes, the 'specialists' don't deserve what the company pays them, and the company doesn't deserve the majority of the money they make from an inept employee.

Ordered another set of Wilkinson tuners and they are being sent to Beth's biz address, which should assure I'l get them this time. No word back from USPS - no surprise. Once I get the tuners and install them - I'll start working on the VP realigning the pu's and then stripping all parts to get it ready to gild. May need order some leaf also, as I'll need a lot to do the whole bass.

My neighborhood USPS postman Leo scores! 
Apparently it was delivered to the same number address but on another street a few blocks away! I spoke with him last week and he assured me he didn't deliver it on Monday but would look into it. Meanwhile I got two emails from USPS letting me know it was being looked into. And a week and a day later - it's here! I'm a big advocate of USPS and UPS (not FedEx) and this is why - I will send USPS a heads up and let then know that Leo deserves a raise!
If anyone is interested in these tuners (second set on the way!) let me know - ($43.40)

I'd keep the second set, but I specifically ordered that Wilkinson set to stay consistent with the VP. Otherwise I might have ordered a reverse-wind pre-CBS Fender set. (more $)

I received a package about a year ago but for a neighbor about 2 blocks away. I hand delivered because it was the right thing to do.

Something similar happened when I was in Pacifica years ago. I left a note on the door of the house with a similar address, and they finally contacted me that they had the package. Probably would have blown it off if I didn't contact them ~

I hated to jump to conclusions, but I've had many issues with delivery services since moving to the Mission SF 3 yrs ago. It coincided with Covid and so I don't know if it's always been this way. I do like meeting my neighborhood USPS carrier and finding him a friendly, responsible civil servant - it's the way it should be. (unfortunately 'old-school' and not always the case these days) There are simple, nice things like that which help balance the
living in an urban environment.
