It's a french butter dish.

You put about 1/2 inch of water in the bowl and pack your butter into the lid; put the two together and it keeps your butter soft and fresh. The only rub is you have to change the water once a week.

I got the same one for a little cheaper. I really don't go through butter that fast. It's worth it compared to the amount of butter I've thrown out in the past.

Mozilla Firefox web browser - I'll never go back to IE. Great plugins, and useful "tab" feature for easy access to multiple web pages. Right click on any link - open new tab - it's great. Note: There is an IE display option for those few websites that have trouble with Firefox.

Folex - sold as mainly a carpet cleaner but works fantastic as spot remover for clothing. Leaves no residue so you can clean your shirt or tie anytime, especially after a work lunch or just after breakfast when you're leaving and you notice a stain. Greased Lightning - spot and stain remover. Works great on oily stains.

BraKleen (brake cleaner found and most auto parts stores) leaves no lubricant or residue on scatchy amp/guitar pots.

Bathtub non-skid material - No product that I've purchase really lasts any length of time that I've tried. What I ended up using is a folded bath towel placed on the floor of the tub. Wash it anytime to renew it.

I was a guilty cigarette smoker for around 10 years. I always wanted, and tried to quit smoking.
So after a rather manic talk to my self about how I can do it, and all I needed was a little help. I went to the drug store and took the cashiers advice and purchased the Commit nicotine lozenges.

Well its been damn near a year and a half and I still don't want to smoke. There is the rare occasion. But it is quite rare. Kinda scares me when it happens because I don't really know whats going on...

Anyways....Commit Nicotine Lozenges. They worked for me.

Hair product called "Frizz Ease".

It a really stiff gel and you need about a dime size glob to rub in your palms and put gently on to your hair after blowing it dry. Gets rid of the frizzies and makes is just stiff enough to hold it in place through out the day or night without looking all "gelled" up.

Hey... this looks like a group of TBers who know their "stuff" so as an amatuer inventer I'm gonna run this by ya all...

I love my OXO Salad Spinner. Easily my favorite kitchen gadget.

I also really like my pizza cutter, which looks like the one previously posted. And my Diamond Fingers knife sharpener.

I need something really strong for getting mineral deposits out of my toilets. The water is awful here and CLR did nothing, even at full strength.

I recently bought a non-stick sheet that goes inside your oven on the floor of the oven beneath the burner elements. It works great! If your pies or enchiladas or whatever spill over the side and make a big gooey crusty mess on the bottom of the oven, this allows you to just pull out the sheet and literally shake the mess off into your garbage can, leaving the oven clean. Then just slide the sheet back in the oven, and you're good to go with no oven cleaning ever.

I like this idea. I've got the added problem of my wife, who makes and decorates cakes, using a small spirit level to even out the oven tray, but leaving the spirit level in the oven when she's done. I'll come along a few hours later, turn the oven on to cook some dinner and BANG, the spirit level explodes, the molten plastic goes everywhere, and what's left - after you put out the fire - is incredibly hard to clean. This stuff could help.

Of course I could check the oven is empty before I turn it on..... and my wife could also find somewhere else to store her spirit level :)

I woke my girlfriend up howling with laughter at this. The fact that it has happened more than once is absolutely priceless
