Gizmotron 2.0

I love the idea of these but I don’t want to mount anything on my bass that might leave a mark or that I might not fully bond with. An e-bow, on the other hand mounts to nothing...do you find that an e-bow gives you comparable sounds?

i tried it out on a cheaper Bass first and liked the sound but it’s very “mechanical”. You can hear the physical contact but I like it; lots of grind and mid-range.

Compared to the EBOW it’s a different beast. The EBOW is smooth once you get it down to how it works for you. The transaction between strings always has a bit of a lag.

That makes sense (the lag). More thinking is required here. I don't own a beater bass to try it out on and REALLY don't want to damage my babies more than I already do by bumping the headstock into anything nearby.
