Power wash then put it in the oven...a commercial car wash has the best soap in with the wash
Presumably the same would apply in reverse?I think it comes down to this: if you present and idea once or twice and it's not received, move on. Berating someone for trying to fix something doesn't help. Frame it up nicely. If they don't want your advice, move on. Being demeaning has no place no matter how wrong they are. Try to help. If that doesn't work, just bail on the thread.

When a group of knowledge pro techs are helping somebody and the same few members jump in to berate the techs here, and the process of safely determining what the problem is before stating an incorrect (or unsafe) solution. This is something you have done to me more than once, on equipment I am intimately familiar with, containing hazardous >300 volts in unexpected (for a non-pro tech). When I asked to stop, you simply became belligerent.
This is why I brought this question up in the first place.
I received a warning for a harmless joke I made, so I thought I would tell another.
How many TalkBass amp techs does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Three; one to tell you light bulbs are only serviceable by a qualified technician, another to back him up, and a third to read the light bulb instructions to you after you changed it yourself.
