I never put mine on a scale, but I'd put the 112-II closer to 30lbs than 39 - the feel very light.

Ok, I've spent all afternoon playing around with the bi-amp circuit. A few questions for the GK crowd:
Is the tweeter supposed to be this subtle ?? I've never used the bi-amp feature with my 700RB II until I got this cabinet...Unless I've got something wrong, all I can detect with the tweeter knob maxxed is string noise and extreme high end. More of a high end presence I guess.
GK says the horn amplifier is set at a fixed frequency of 5kHz and above, ( I guess that is pretty high). Definately a "not in your face horn". It is more apparent with my active Carivin ICON than my passive basses.
Also I'm assuming the "boost" circuit only affects the woofer amp in bi-amp mode, allowing the GK growl without ratting out the high end correct? If so, this is a great reason to utilize the bi-amp mode.

Yes you are correct on both counts. The horn is much more subtle/smooth in Biamp. Not affected by the Boost (or distortion channel on the 2001RB/2000RB). The horn comes to life with pops, slaps and picks, just rounds out the high end with fingers. Probably won't even hear it with flats and fingers.
You can use the supplied cable for full range, just put the switch in full range mode.

Question for RAG: Bob, is the G-K forum ever comming back?![]()
Cool. GK's really on top of it.
These are great cabinets.
One the GK site it says that these cabs are 30lbs, but in the PDF it says these are 39lbs?
Can owners chime in on which of these specs are correct?
