GK 800RB with Ampeg 810

Hey everyone,
Im looking to buy my first bass rig.
I have recently purchased the GK 800RB and am in the process of purchasing the Ampeg 810.
I was just wondering if anyone else runs this setup and what they think about it. Also, do you just run it out of the hi-output?
Thanks for any help or advice!
Jared

I have little experience w/GK & none w/the 800RB(aside from hearing it a few times & being very impressed), but I think you want to go w/the low output; IIRC the low section has 300 watts & the high only 50. 50 watts of treble-EQ'ed bass vs 300 watts of the lower 90% of the spectrum? I vote low. If I'm totally wrong consider this a bump for more experienced GK users. :)

That's right. You want 300 watts full-range for the 810 cab. :bassist:

Yup, definately a classic rig. My 800 sounds great with my NV610. Just plug your cab into the 300 watt section running full range and you will be good to go.
