Double Bass gk going hot into the board!

I have a gk mb150s and when I go direct from the amp to the board I get red lights flashing. This happens with my k&k rockabilly and my buddy's underwood. I've tried most everything as far as adding a fishman b-2 and dialing down every gain on the preamp and board as well as adjusting the eqs on everything along the chain. The only thing that I've made work is when I put the xlr cable into my little berhinger 4-channel board before running that into the board. The behringer board will peak a little but the signal to the board is fine. I'd rather not have to do all this. It seems excessive and takes away from the sound and there must be an easier way. So if anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Screw the gain down a little on the B2 (near the battery pocket) & that should help the impedance problem.

Tried that and didn't work. Took the b-2 out of the loop - figured it wasn't necessary since the rockabilly pickup has it's own preamp. Tried to dial the gain down on that too - no luck. I feel like there should be a way to turn down the signal going out of the amp's di out but don't know how. For our show tonight I'm going to keep the Behringer mixer in the loop. Worked well during practice so we'll try that for now.
