GK MB212 Ordered!

I just got a call from my GC buddy, he says the MB212s have shipped from Gallien, headed to their distribution center...hang on my bruthahs!!

Yup, again, Bob G told me that they were headed to MF and GC this week, so this just confirms it. Looking forward to getting mine!

Don't you just love it when you have to wait for a product to become available. I was one of the first to pre-order an Eden 1205. At that time it was suppose to be a month wait. Finally got it almost 8 months after I ordered. Companies should follow Genz Benz lead and not advertise a product until it is actually available.
Nope, not yet anyway. It may be just an automated email that gets generated 45 or 60 or so days after your original order. When did you place your order?

I order mine a week or more before that. I guess it's possible that the intial orders are getting the first batch and you are in queue for the next batch coming in? Not sure.
So let's say that there are 20 MB212 amps ordered and you are order number 25, yours would be in the next shipment.
Not sure if that is the case, but it's a possibility.
I tried one of these out last weekend at a GC in TN.
My impressions were:
Pros: Sounded pretty good at medium volume to my ears, light weight, looks good, etc.
Cons: Farty at louder volumes on B string, plastic grill, didn't like the way the detachable power cord stuck out the back of the amp.
This thing moves a LOT of air out of the port on the lower left corner of the unit. You almost wouldn't need a fan on stage. Just stand in front of the amp!
They had theirs for $599. I was looking for a small, lightweight, giggable combo and definitely wanted to give the GK a try. I tried the Mesa Walkabout Scout, the Genz Benz Shuttle 6, a Traynor, a Roland (which surprised me), and ended up getting a MarkBass CMD 12" combo. Hated to give GC my money, but it was the one I liked best. Oh well... Got it for $709. First gig tonight with it. We'll see how it does.

You must have tried the MB210 (and not the MB212) as the MB212 just hit shores this past week @ GK and they were shipping orders to the stores later in the week. And the MB210 is $599 and the MB212 is $699
I just called them. Rep on the phone said that all he had was the same info as on the site.......12/18
Just got off the phone with MF. I told them not to cancel my order (it was going to be automatically canceled if I didn't call, per their email).
They said they expect their shipment of MBs before the end of the year. :scowl:
