I use an RMI Sonic Spark in the loop of my Plex and really like what it adds. I'd imagine a GK Rails would be pretty neat, too.

I have one on each of my boards. Never parting with them! I imagine you don’t see them often because, to my knowledge, there are very few of them floating around. And they don’t come up for sale often.

Love it very much. Only a slight issue is I feel it adds a little noise floor that seems to increase as the output is turned up.

But in a live setting you would never know- it is a killer preamp for an aggressive tone

This is my absolute favorite “Boost” Pedals. Gives my other pedals a slight treble boost with some gain to stand out when necessary, and also is a fantastic standalone overdrive tone. Never getting rid of mine, as I love the GK Rails tone, but will never need the volume to get it naturally.

I vaguely recalled seeing 15v on the datasheet of the chip... checking ...

LF353 can have a supply voltage of 18v — so long as you've got caps rated for 50v or more, you're good to go.

I think.

I'll defer to the experts.

it has a charge pump in it and is already running at 18 volts (actually +9 & -9V) so if you run it at +18V it'll blow the charge pump chip.
