Any luck?

Me and a friend of mine here both have horizontal switch models, and I've seen/played a few other and I never knew they had handles.....never seen a handle on one. Mine has the rack ear sides and I made a headcase for it (with a handle:) ). My friends just gets carried around like a shoebox. I'm probably gonna make him a case for his too.

dhsierra1....does yours have a handle? Maybe their like the grey knob centers....most are missing some?

Hi!
The old 800rb's have handles on the left hand side of the head, on the removeable side-panel. These side-panels unscrew, and are replaced with the reack-ear side-panels to be placed in racks.
Mine is an '86 model, and still has the original side-panels and handle on the left-hand side. Because the rack-mount side-panels aren't available any more (the modern 800rb's have removeable 'ears' like(ish) the 700rbII and 1001rbII) I have to carry mine in a suitcase-style roadcase when on the road.
Otherwise, the amp can be easily carried via the handle - convenient!
Thanks guys, gotta love the old 800rb's!
