if i had video capabilities i would definitly post it. but my guitar player has an iphone so tonight i will see if i can get him to tape that.


eigth that sounds just what is happening, but it did it when he hit the High button. but obviously he was close enough to push the button so who knows if it is the same problem or just the same symptom.

I have seen this happen with Eden speakers.

Eden cabs use a light-bulb fuse thing.

This seems to be something quite different.

I saw something similar happen to a 410 HLF - 3200 watts went into it and sparks came shooting out of the port like steel under a grinder.

Spectacular to see - it roasted all four drivers.

Pretty cool so long as it isn't your gear.

I've got to see this. I'm interested.

Was in band with a drummer who had blue vistalite kit. He had lights in his toms and kick that lit up when hit the drum hard. It looked neat.

this **** is whacked. Post the vid. My favourite theories that have been advanced so far, in order of preference:

1. The cab is a 610 and the protection bulb is lighting up.
2. There's more than just the speaker cab lighting up in the jam room.
3. Bass player from beyond the grave trying to communicate through the Ampeg cab (I'd probably use the same medium). Wait, I don't think anyone actually advanced this theory yet.

EVERYONE! Go plug in your bass, turn on the amp, and put the strings against the grill.


Quickly. And at your own risk. I've seen it three or four times in my own cab, and it still functions fine.
