Gnomeratron VTF - a nasty muff with blend: prototype review

I received my gnomeratron the other day as well!! I haven't written anything much here yet because there is so much stuff going on in this thing!! I have just been experimenting with the trimmers, the magic mode, and the blended modes (mostly with just the second diode running). We definitely have to collaborate on some settings here because there are simply so many different possibilities with the gnome.

Thanks so much McSpunckmaster!! It sounds great in a variety of different settings, and with the gain and volumes cranked or more subtle. And yes, it looks quite cool as well!!

Hey McSpunckle, what colours are available for LEDs?
Also, would it be possible to have a black light LED (UV light)? Or is that asking a bit much?

That's technically what the purple ones are. :D

What I have are red, white, green, purple, blue, and orange.

I can order anything that exists, but because of shipping, if I didn't need to make an order anyways, it might cost a bit more.

I've been trying to find some LEDs that automatically shift between red, blue, and green. They exist, but I haven't seen them in 3mm.

SWEET!!! GIMME PURPLE!!!!!!!!!

You know you made the right choice! That's what mine is going to be - Graphic 8 seems to be very popular

Would be interested to know the distribution of the graphic choices, I'm guessing this would be particularly interesting for the guy that designed them

And tigerbass, you are killing us that have to wait with your superlative reviews! :bassist:

Some are undecided or I just haven't contacted them to get the info yet.

Remember that build rig I talked about to build the pedals without having their enclosures done? Totally built it. That'll save any delays from slow curing epoxy. This batch was way slower than usual. Two days later it's still too soft for my tastes for drilling, and way hard to scrape off the sides. I'm blaming the rain, but they look great.

Haha. I totally build the thing with that sort of thing in mind. The fuzzy bass tones in NIN are some of my favourite.

Okay so I brought VTF to practice last night. I spent the day dialing in an appropriate gate-y tone for The Hand That Feeds by NIN. I made just a quickie adjustment before we played and  I completely FLOORED the band...and they are pretty used to all the crazy sounds I create. Just the drummer and I played it, then both guitars played 2nd time. I will tell you what...it sounded just as heavy by myself! Words can't describe how BROOTALZ that thing can get! :bassist:

Today will be spent dialing in killer new tones...I can't wait!
I am not sure how most of the knobs interact, or exactly sure how the Gate Trimmers work, or the Magic Knob, or the Filter Knob...hahahha!...but I hope to figure it out.;)
