Okay, this is crazy. Just last week on this very forum I said that "I don't have gas for any new gear". Well I saw a picture of the Shifter, read this entire thread and ordered a cream/maple Shifter!!!

I love the look of this bass but 3 pickups bothers me. Just looks cluttered.

Anyone use one of these for Reggae Music? I feel like I could really dub out with one of these!!
awesome! awesome! awesome!
I'm pretty much dead set on buying one.
Any negative sides to the Shifter that you care to discuss?
One more question:
What does the neck feel like?
Oh yeah and you can't beat having 5 preset sounds it's so convenient when playing to quickly flip a switch or to avoid feed back that sometimes results from one pick up but not the other. Twangy to a growl to smooth all with a flip of a switch!
Actually, there are 6 preset sounds. The tone control is a push/pull pot and you can engage that in position 1 to get only the neck pickup. Way cool.
My only two complaints are 1.) in position 4 which should be the neck and bridge pickup, it sounds like it's still in single coil mode. I'm not sure if this is by design or bad wiring. I'm going to email Godin about it. 2.) there is a slight head dive, which I didn't expect.
