Going shopping with $1400

If you like short scale basses, the Invalid Link Removed is a great one for the money.

I just tried this and it's an awesome bass. The 3 way selector for the pickups is great.

Headed to GC (I know). Have about $1400 in store credit.

I'm thinking about picking up a Squier Classic Vibe 70's P-Bass and a Vintage Modified Jazz Bass.

I'm not opposed to something higher end.

What would you buy with $1400?

One nice bass

Or a few budget basses $400-500

Thanks
If you're set on basses, and GC takes store credit for used gear - I'd go with a used Lakland DJ and 44-64 so you could get two amazing quality basses with different tones. Could also go with two used Mexican Fender basses (J and P).

If they don't take store credit for used gear, I'd go with a Fender Jazz and use the rest to buy miscellaneous other things like cables, straps, stands, etc...if you have any needs there.
