After hauling the Silver Beast to many gigs I have decided to go smaller and more compact and am test driving a LYT F16 to see if it'll work. Instead of 16 pedals I am down to 6 and after 2 gigs it's working out fairly well, I will sometimes miss having 4 fuzzes to choose from and layer but once I get them right 2 should work fine. On the top row I've got the FuzzNutz TexTone, Digitech BSW, Moody Hjart Muller Lo|Fat, 3 knob EHX Bass Balls bottom row is Akai UniBass and Zoom B2.1u.

Yep a week later, 4 gigs, a rehearsal and recording session and and and I like it.
May do some switching for a gig here and there but it seems to fit 85% of my playing.
Top row- LO|Fat- BSW*- FuzzNutzTexTone*- Modded BassBalls
bottom row- Akai UniBass- Zoom B2.1u-
under the shelf passive DI.

*May switch those out for Cross Drive and/or clone-o-BrassMaster for more rockin stuff

Bump the BSW for GE7B as that allows me to quick switch in fretless bass since it looks like some of those gigs coming up. I have tried using a small board as a side car and that worked out pretty well so the F16 is here to stay.
so top row: Lo|Fat- Ge7B - TexTone Fuzz Nutz - 3 knob BassBalls
bottom row still Akai UniBass and Zoom B2.1u (mounted the mute/bypass on volume pedal)

More tweaking some stuff gone and new stuff on the board.
Found a way to squeeze one more pedal on board so as of 8/15
top row
Ge7B> Lo|Fat> BrassMaster clone> Bass Balls with an Ibanez CS9 sandwiched between.
bottom row is still Akai UniBass and Zoom B2.1u (but there are some tasty new patches going on there).
attached are a before and after

The sage continues, while I am digging the size of the F16 but have a couple of issues.
1>As time goes on I am missing having effects in a loop that I can bypass with a single stomp. Used a Boss PSM5 forever for this but recently got a Rocktron TruLoop that I am itching to get some use for plus it has a blend function that could be handy.
2>I would also like to have room for the Freeze pedal. So I may bump the B2.1u for a B2 since I rarely use the expression pedal.

Edit:still no room for the Freeze so may just run a side board if needed.

The Continuing the adventures of F16 or trying to get the most in the smallest for the most gigs......
It's pretty amazing how happy I am with this smallish board, really covers most of my needs as is.

On a LYT F16 board I now have 11 pedals actually 12 if you count the passive DI under the shelf!

Signal Chain is '82 Carvin LB50 Koa (main bass)
pre loop >[sfx] Micro Thumpinator> Boss Ge7B > [sfx] AY2
Loop pedal is a Rocktron TruLoop blended loop
send> Boss AW3 (alternate Boss OC2) > Hjart Muller Lo|Fat OD > GGG Brass Master > (Alternate fuzz ElectroniX Cross Drive or Austone Fuzz Nutz TexTone) > EHX 3 knob Bass Balls> Akai UniBass>>loop return
Zoom B2 with bypass pedal
Dietz passive DI (Jensen xformer)
