I would love to say I've gotten a bunch of stuff done on this over the weekend, but I had out-of-town gigs on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Kind of a normal week for me. And since I have gigs with new artists on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday this week, doesn't look like I'm going to get a lot done since I will be learning songs the whole time. Anyway, I did have a few free moments yesterday, but instead of working on this build, I picked up a new blade for the new bandsaw that I just got, and did some re-sawing. I had a big old board of lightly flamed maple, so I figured I would cut that into some tops and playing them out for future projects or just to sell.

This is the set of pickups I'll be putting into it. I am still undecided on the preamp, but kind of interested in trying one of the darkglass tone modules.... so I may go that way. But I've had good success with preamps from Audere, Aguilar, Bartolini, etc ....So I am absolutely open to suggestions if you guys have any thoughts on what might be a nice match for these pickup. I do not want an ultra modern type sound, just a nice meaty tone with good definition. Something that's going to make that low B sing, but without being too crisp on the top end. I'm thinking the Aguilar may be more aggressive than I am looking for, based on past experience.....
