Good Amp Under $350?

I have only been playing for about 3 months and I just got my first bass. I've been playing on a crappy squier guitar amp ever since i started. I just got $350 for christmas and I'm looking for a good amp. Any ideas?:help:

Zzounds has the Ashdown MAGC115 in B-stock for under your price. It would probably be a poor choice if you want to do all that slappin' and poppin' stuff, but it's got mucho bottom, and you can add a cab with a couple of tens and a tweeter, if you want to later on.

IMHO I would SERIOUSLY look at a used Peavey for that price. I have to say that in the lower realms, I've been truly dissappointed with ampeg's power. I think that they make great sounding gear, but I always got lost in the mix with the lower wattage stuff. The Peavey gear can be found on the cheap, and won't let you down!

Peace!

You can usually nab a Behringer head on e-bay for 150 bucks. Hit the local Craigslist, and find a cab for 200 and your there. The Peavey stuff is also a good choice. Alot of guys on here hate Behringer heads, but I use one for my backup, and for practice, and have never had a breakdown. But at least that will get you a little power to play with, and get your blood going to make you stick with your bass playing.
