Good Bye

Oh, and thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I will be on TB for a bit, though I will not be posting too much, or for too much longer.

If anyone has any questions about this BS ;) of the Law of Attraction, feel free to ask and I will try to answer you, though I have no desire to defend or to prove something that requires no defense, nor proof. Debating the existence of something that exists is like debating who won the game after the outcome has been decided.

The world was flat once, and also the center of the universe. It took a long time for people to get used to the idea that it was not. :D

Oh Sundogue, I will miss you terribly!!! You are one of the kindest and most-positive people I have met in here. Your threads, and your responses to others', have been so enlightening, and a source of healing and support.

I wish you and your wife every happiness. It sounds like you are both embarking on an exciting and fulfilling chapter in your lives. A real telescope...outstanding!!!

But I've got tears on my face just now, because I am going to miss you and you positive attitude and insight. You are a genuinely nice person. This place will not be the same without you.

God bless you and your family, and may He bless your endeavors as well. Perhaps we'll meet again one day.

Love...

Cherie

For many months now I've been thinking and believing that I would receive a life changing art commission that would allow me to just up and quit my job.

I've been putting that thought out there knowing it was mine already. I have made no attempts to secure a commission like this. I never advertised for it, nor solicited work from anyone as my art career has been more or less on hold. The only thing I did was put the thought out there and know it would happen.

Well, guess what? I just received an art commission for $15,000.00. And it is just the first in a series of these commissions that will more than double my income as a network admin.

Yes, the Law of Attraction is very real. My last day at work is June 22nd. This commission will allow me to completely leave my current job as a network administrator and go back to painting full time.

It also happens that the people I received the commission from (who never knew us before) are like minded people, and the husband of the couple who hired me, just happens to restore old barns for a living.

Coincidence? No way.

:D :hyper: :D

Best of luck, dawg! I really got to come by and take a look
when you get telescope done. One of my fave childhood hobbies.

You still gonna be in WI, right. I have to go up on business
in either May or June, wouldn't mind buying you a beer, (organic, of course).

Send me a contact to thor74 at cox.net and I'll let you know when.
I was planning on meeting The Golden Boy over in
Milwaukee if his new wife will let him out.

I've always enjoyed your posts, disagreed with a few from time to time, but we are all
different with different world views.

I am glad to hear so many wonderful things are happening for you.
That's great! :hyper:

Take care,

Thor

That's really a beautiful thing you're doing. What part of the country are you in? I might stop by for a visit if I'm around... :D I wish you nothing but the best in everything you do, and hope you find the inner peace that you seek, if you haven't already found it.

I will post back here after we've moved in and get things set up. It's going to take a while to renovate and build everything we have plans for.

I've owned many telescopes over the years, but I've always dreamed of having my own observatory and doing imaging of the universe. The skies are so dark out at this farm that even small scopes show more. Unlike the city where I live now, out in the country I can actually see the Milky Way clearly and I can even see the Andromeda galaxy with the naked eye. We have 4 silos. The tallest one will just be used as a tower to allow the surrounding area wireless internet access (and free internet for me, plus some extra cash). The other silo will be sold, except for the base, which will be turned into an enormous swimming pool. The other two (which I call the "twin towers" are two identical 40 foot concrete silos. One will be my observatory, with a suspended walkway over to the other. On top of the other will just be a flat top with railings and will just be used as a place to hang out and party as the views all around are spectacular.

With this new commission, being able to paint full time again, I can create my dream art studio as well. At some point, when the barn is renovated, Artists from all over can come and use the studio to work and display their works in the gallery part. There will also be a yoga studio so when my wife becomes an instructor she can conduct classes there. I also will be building a music studio in the renovated barn, and outside, on one end of the barn I will be building an outdoor stage so we can host a yearly music festival as well.

So I will be sure to let all of you know.

Ah, life is grand.

Dream big, and believe it's already yours, and it will happen.

The more you focus on the negative, the more you will bring it into your life.

+1,000,000!

That one sentence says it all.

This is how I've felt about life since I can remember.

And no, I haven't gone to any Tony Robbins seminars! :p

I'm sorry to see you go, Sundouge. You and I have a lot of similar beliefs. And your devotion to your family evident in many of your posts is truly inspiring.

I wish you and your family all the best life offers.

And you're a damn fine artist!

I still recall that unfinished painting of the wolf you posted.

Hope to run into you again someday.

Mike ;)

Oh, you'll be back for football season!!!

You're just mad right now about the LAME Packers draft, and lack of off season moves. Heck, I bet Bret Favre is going with you right now. So you'll BOTH be back in a couple months for mini-camp. :D :D :D

Seriously my friend.....I will miss you. I did count you as one of my "friends" here at TB.

-Mike

to the thread-starter...are you sure that you would be happy living on an isolated farm? wouldn't you miss gigging? woudl your town have enough people for a music festival? (to both play in it and to watch it)

Maybe ecstatic, fulfilled, at peace, tranquil, energized, rejuvenated, desirous, delirious, awestruck, invigorated, inspired, etc., but happy? Hmmm, I'm not too sure happy really would describe it. ;)

I will still play with my band. In fact I will be living 20 miles closer to our drummer and keyboard player (who also live on a farm..another utopia).

The area I will be living just outside of has over 150,000 people and many people here throw some pretty big parties out on farms, with multiple bands playing. Last summer, one of the most popular "farm festivals" had all the food and drink you can consume, three bands, and a kick-ass fireworks show at the end of it. About 2000 people showed up.

Yeah, this lifestyle just can't be beat. I'm going to have time to paint, time to play music, time for my wife, time for my kids...time for myself!

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Yeah, I guess I'll be happy. :D

I plan on stopping by from time to time.

While I might not participate in discussions much (especially those where some feel the need to call me crazy for my beliefs...which is funny because they work for me), I will be online for a couple of months yet anyway.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes.
