good/cheap software

Another good/cheap recording software is Acoustica Mixcraft. I know that alot of the other programs have more capabilities but I have been playing with this and it is VERY easy to learn to use and only costs $40. You can download a full version demo from their site and use it for 7 days. It has all of the features I need to record my band and works great with my Toneport UX1.

You will not find Sonar 5 Studio for less than 200 dollars, and Sonar 5 Producer starts at 429 dollars (these are prices from actual listings right now)...

There is one listing for Sonar 5 Producer for 180 dollars - guaranteed pirated copy. And another of Producer and Guitar tracks for $29.00....guaranteed copy. A quick visit to Sonar's site will let you know instantly that 100 dollars is not a bonified price for this software.

Be very careful with your retailer...the only version of Sonar 5 that gets close to the 100 dollar mark is Guitar tracks.
