Double Bass Good EUB for around 700 or less???

Hi. I've owned three Palatino VE-550 basses and all 3 of them are terrible quality ranging from cracking body to warped fingerboard. I wish to purchase a good EUB for around 700 or less but DO NOT like the design of the ergo or dean pace basses. (I absolutely despise the super skinny bodiless fingerboard with the obnoxious tripod endpin thing.) I want one like the palatino in body design, but one that doesn't break. Is there any good EUB for 700 or less that IS NOT an ergo, dean pace, palatino or bodiless bass?????

Please give feedback, life without a bass is horrifyingly sad.

Couldn't comment on their quality though.

I know you no like Ergo's but theres not many that can touch them on value for money, so they are really worth considering. I dont know how Jesse can knock them out at the price he does..

If you don't mind me saying so, I think you are a bit fussy for the low budget you have. Personally, I would rather compromise on looks than on playability and sound.

Saying that, I think this is an absolute steal.

Not that I know of new. You never know what the used market could offer. But your budget is a little low for a good EUB.
