I value comfort as much as I do sound quality, and I find that the ones that fit on the ear are uncomfortable after a while. I prefer the fit of the around-the-ear models. I have an old pair of AKG 240's and they are comfortable and accurate for listening. They are open-air design, so there will be some leakage (others may hear them if the room is quiet, and you'll hear ambient sounds while listening). If you want a closed design (less leakage), then the AKG 271 are in the ballpark. The open designs tend to be more accurate, and the closed designs tend to have fuller bass (can be unnatural, depending on the model, and of course, your taste).
There are a lot of great headphones out there, and it's nice to have so many good choices. Just throwing my criteria out there for consideration.
Unless you have a headphone amp, be sure to get a low impedance model (e.g. 30-60 ohms). The higher impedance models (~300 ohms) require more power.
One last thing, the models I mentioned don't have a low frequency emphasis. I prefer that for practicing, because I tend to hear the little noises better. Other models have more of a bass emphasis, which may or may not suit you.
