Good neck=good sound

I have experienced much the same thing with many instruments I have owned and worked on...if it's not in the wood to begin with no amount of electronics is going to make it good...only louder..

All rosewood! Bet it does sound great, not a cheap option either. Good Indian rosewood is going to get harder and harder to get as time goes on. My US Masters bass had a pau farro board and it was beautiful but was a bit waxy feeling to me. Some say it's the new Brazilian rosewood but I disagree, it's a good wood but not even in the rosewood family. I plan to keep testing as I acquire more parts over time.
