Good practise amp for beginner?

Ok, just starting out learning Bass again and I want a little practise amp that will give a good clean tone at bedroom levels. I've identified all the amps below as possibles within my budget (ideally no more than £100 -£150). Which would you go for and more importantly WHY? Or if you know of a different amp thats not on my list but that you think would answer my needs please shout up!!

I'm sure you will get a reply that says AMPEG SVT CL with an 810 is the only amp, but.......

The best "practice" amp that I have every played through was the now discontinued Nemesis N8 that was 40watts and had an 8" speaker. I have never heard such a full and clean tone from a practice amp. Of course it would break up at high volumes, but it had that perfect amount of headroom so you could get a super clean tone at bedroom level and slightly above. Also, it was priced right, at around $125. Only con that I can think of was that it was Made in China, if that matters to you. OR, you can go the route that I did for my first amp. It was an old Peavey Mixer/Amp. It is a 45w, 4 channel combo that has a "12 and also an extension cab with another "12. It says 45 watts, but I have played outside with two other guitars with it in the past and it did fine, in addition to the two vocal mikes going through it at the same time.

My practice amp is a Roland Cube 30 and although it's not cheap, mine cost me £170, it's a brilliant amp. Loads of tones available, nice coaxial speaker, compressor, aux input (for a CD player etc), headphone/recording output, chorus, flanger, touch wah, reverb and delay.

It's loud enough to pee my neighbour off too.

Galien Krueger Backline 110.....For the money you can't beat it for a small practice amp.

I practice through a crate guitar amp. It really doesn't make a difference to me what my bass sounds like when I'm practicing, as long as I can hear it. Not saying that I wouldn't be better off with a nicer practice amp. Just saying that you shouldn't sweat the details too much. It's just a practice amp.

Buy whichever one you fancy the tone and price of. All those you listed will work just fine.

I had an RB1 which was great and also had the doscontinued Eden N8 mentioned which was fantastic. Just sold it on actually as my shuttle combo's got me covered on all fronts.
