Good Replacement for gibson bass

i have a 67 gibson eb-2d and im not a fan of the bridge pickup so i was wondering what are my options are. is there anything the same size or what about the pickups they put on the new sg basses?

Have you thought about getting the pickup rewound? You can have wound hotter so you get more punch. Also it will still look vintage.

If you have ANY '67 Gibson and it's in original or near-original shape DO NOT make any permanent changes - that really diminishes the value.

You could have a pickup re-wound, or try another pickup, but that's really not a great idea. If you change anything, save all original parts and do not make any change that cannot be invisibly reversed. For that matter, to preserve the collector value, don't cut or alter a single connection!

The EB-2D is a lovely bass, and the smartest thing you could do is leave it absolutely stock, enjoy the way it's meant to sound, and buy another semi-hollow such as the Jack Casady bass for some variety.
