I have the no-longer-in-production P5110.

A 1x10 combo. It puts out 250W by itself. Add an 8 ohm extension or pull the head off and use it by itself with a 4 ohm cab and it's 500W.

Just by itself, it puts out a LOT of volume - and still sounds good. I've played a couple of small gigs with it and it worked very well.

And I think the whole rig only weighs something like 38 pounds. Even has a tiltback leg under the front edge.

Used an Ampeg B115 facing back towards me at an outdoor show yesterday afternoon. Preamped with a Line6 bass pod XT live.

I got a 'realistic' stage volume, with only a fraction of the sound going out front.The band was happy, I was happy..........
Not to mention it's a heluva lot lighter than my Genz stack.

Can't. it was on LESS than one on the master, maybe 1.5 on the gain...............

Time to get a Hot Plate maybe?

Given the story you mention your drummer won't be happy with anything you use.
Sit down and do some serious talking with the rest of the band.
I can't imagine an Ampeg combo being too loud at all & I'm not
a volume freak at all either.

I think about phil jones Super Flightcase BG-300. It so 'clear' IMO.
