Good strap for heavy bass

Honestly, my ZON padded leather strap is more comfy than the Comfort Strapp. I know everyone swears by em, and I like mine, but the ZON strap just seems to fit my shoulder better.

I bought one of these Yamaha straps from either zzounds or music123 a couple years ago. It was around $30-$40. I really love it, it's wide, very comfortable and well made. They are still on the Yamaha site, but can't find where to buy them anymore.

I just have to weigh in. When I purchased my new bass I saw the moody strap hanging on the wall. I asked myself... is it really ok to spend 150 bucks on a strap? I then tried it on and it felt amazing. Sure enough, if you are going to spend the money on a bass you should spring for the strap IMHO.

Got mine today. Pretty dang fast. Bought a red one (for the red bass), got a black one (for the black bass of course) for free. They're "on sale" ya know.
Very nice. Added the strap locks (took 'em off the Comfort Strapp actually) and played for an hour or so. I like the way this strap locks onto my shoulder. No movement or sliding at all. At 4", it is wide. All the alleged 3.5" straps I have collected were never really 3.5 but these 4"ers are truly 4", actually maybe a hair wider. I like the fact that it does not have the "springy" feel of the Levi Comfort Strap or the Comfort Strapp. It is not really padded but it really spreads the load. These are much heavier straps than the neoprene deals I have been using but most of the weight is wrapped around you so it is not like it is hanging or adding weight to the overall package.
I am looking forward to gigging with it to see how it feels but first impression is quite good.

OK. I have used this http://www.italiastraps.com for a couple weeks now and I am still pleased. It works much better (for me) than the neoprene Levi strap and Comfort Strapp.
It will be interesting to see how it works as the weather is getting pretty hot now but so far, I am planning on pulling the strap locks off of the Levy Strap (already pulled them from the Comfort Strapp) to transfer to the second Italia strap that I got "for free".

I apologize for the necro, but does TalkBass still have an online store? I didn't see a link on the home page. Do they still sell that guitar strap?

Can't go wrong with a leather levi's strap. I play a spector usa ns5xl, very similar to a warwick Corvette, and i use a 4" leather levi's strap. I find it helps distribute the weight, and prevents neckdive. Solid strap, and was only like $80. I've had it for 11 years too, and it's still kickin lol.
