I do think that the Tecamp micros would be worth a look. Tone is pretty subjective, so who knows if they will meet the OP's requirements.

Tecamp Bad Bull 900 or 2000 depending on your needs. Both are beasts.
Bad Cab along with it and you have a monster rig for big shows as well as th best quality out there.

Though greenboy cabs are my (obvious) favorite, Barefaced would be an awesome consideration since it's pretty tough to get them here as far as price goes

I'd asked about power, and pretty much everyplace we'll be hitting has 117V 60cycle
(just need some universal plug adapters).........

I just can't see recommending a 140 pound cab to some looking for a light rig.
