Good visual examples of lead vocalist/bassists

Vortex, during his time in Borknagar did lead vocals and bass, had some cool bass lines too, though though the production on the albums is so muddy that you can hardly make out what he's doing.

Unfortunately, the only live stuff I can find from that era seems to be filmed on a camcorder (so really crappy sound) and from a show in which they were having sound problems.

The guy who put up the videos also for some reason seems to have it out against Vortex for some reason.

Not live, but here's the video from a song he did most of the writing on. Pretty cool bass line if you can hear it:

What Gene is doing is just holding a note while playing that line. If you practice it that way you'll find it easier to do.
You have to have the bass line down cold when singing and playing.
Then stop thinking about the bassline and think about singing.
It's harder if you think about what you're singing first and then you play bass.
Practice, practice, practice.
And don't doubt yourself or you're sunk.

I've always been a big fan of Jack Bruce, but if you listen close to what he's doing in those two examples it isn't as hard as it sounds. Both bass lines are similar in the fact they both repeat themselves. Plus both vocals do the same thing simple repeat even though the second tune, Look Out Princess, jumps around to different keys it's always the same vocal and bass line. Listen to Jack do his tune Never Tell Your Mother She's Out of Tune.
