every few years, we rewatch firefly. we started it again just recently. great show, interesting and imperfect characters, complex backstory.Firefly is a really outstanding series...I'm part of that long-time dedicated fan base. Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds is the single best starship commander in TV history. It's on Netflix at present (and yeah, the episode order is correct there) afterwards comes the movie. The theme music is admittedly pretty bad and in somewhat the same horrid style as that for ST Enterprise—although perhaps a bit more hillbilly in feel. The theme was actually written by show creator Joss Whedon (Buffy, Avengers etc.) himself. Greg Edmonson did the music and very effectively used some of the same Wagnerian leitmotif technique that was used to fine effect in the original Star Trek series. There is *lots* to like here.![]()
