It wasn’t a myth at one time. I don’t know if it is now or not, but 15 years ago it was true.Be careful what you wish for; you may get it.
(Possibly just a myth.)
Why is The Villages known as ‘the STD capital of America?’
Unless he moved, which I don’t think he did, Steve lives in Ocala, which is about a half hour drive from the Villages.Awesome!

Radlin Rootz...we were at Brownwood SquareWhat band are you with? I’m playing there a week from today with a blues band called The Smokin’ Torpedoes.
…seeing them on the patio of the UofM's Rathskeller a time or two in the late 70s.
The patio at the Rat had so many great shows. We’re u at the U?
His reason for leaving Purple last year was an illness his wife was/is going through. I know he's still playing but seems to have cut back a bit. Maybe he's semi-retired.Geez, did Steve move to the Villages?![]()
He’s also battling arthritis and loss of cartilage in his right hand from bending his wrist and using thumb and two fingers to hold his pick. He did a Rick Beato interview vid recently discussing it. I tried how he played once and I get it. I could never play like that, let alone at that insane level. He was one of those guys who almost never put the guitar down, too, so he’s not in great shape. His reason for leaving Purple last year was an illness his wife was/is going through. No, but I grew up in S.W. Miami, and we hung out there on occasion.
I was in Miami from 75-80. at the U 75078 and played at Banana's in the Grove from 77-80. it was an amazing time to be there.
