Got my Roger Waters on today...

Why? It was the bridge, saddles were high... neck was straight.

A lot of times the action is high because that's the only way it can be set up without getting buzzing. Also, its a lot harder to tell if a neck is straight with high action and a bunch of relief in the neck. Unless you actually brought a straight edge, looking at the neck and eyeballing the straightness really isn't precise enough to tell you much of anything.

Tommy hits a new level...MATH FAIL!
78 P BASS= 32 YRS OLD

please please please keep this thread alive, ive had a crappy day and im ******* dying over here

It's only 8yrs difference. Plus I said almost. 32 is closer to 40 than 22... anyways, I like my failing. Sigged

I looked down from the headstock to the body, it works effectively. I prolly would've noticed if the neck was way outta wack

in other news... quit chasing your tail tommy. if its all original, low ball them for the best price, throw enough at it to put it on layaway and go for the glory.

if it was in my town i would have..im currently scoping out a $1000 83 black and maple P

I agree. If you want it bad enough Tommy, lowball em. Shoot em $1000, $700 down payment. Then pay the rest off over time. You only live once, might as well make it count.

Like I could keep up the payments to finish the layaway.

Plus the GC has been there for a while now and so far they haven't sold anything outta their vintage room. I'll be savin my money, plus. If it's still there (I pray it will be) in the beginning of the next school year, I'll have the money.

Here´s my 1978 P.bass.. signed by the man himself. Oh. yeah.. i got it with a set of Rotosound Flats.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I am curious. The black precision that he uses today is the same old one that he used during the late Pink Floyd era? The current one doesn't look vintage at all.

Waters owns three matching B´n Maple P.basses. Two of them with Rotosound Flats and the other one, with Roundwound. One of the basses is the same he used during WYWH years... Phill Taylor (guitar tech) put the black pickguard for Animals tour in 1977... And did something else.. He got rid of the original neck and instaled a Charvel neck cos it was more comfortable to him. Not sure who sticked the Fender Decal...
