This doesn't have anything to do with amps other than I think i'll be using Agular equipment.... but I mostly post in this forum and there isn't a 'gigs' area so here goes....

I just got back from a tour at 1;30 am yesterday and woke up dain bramaged at 1;30 pm today. 30 mins later i get a call asking if i can hit the road in 15 hours to fill in for an ailing bassist. It's currently 2am and i've just finished doing charts for an hour long set but this is only after I spent 6 hours searching for (and a tiny ton on) clothes, stuff and a bass that all fit the bands 'thing'. If your gonna swim in the deep end of the pool I would suggest you're ready to dive in at less than a moments notice.

I'll be on the road with Vintage Trouble for a tour that finishes up at Bonnaroo with stops in between at places like Red Rocks ect. 24 hours ago I just wanted to come home and feed my cats... and now I'm being fed to the lions.

I'll try to check back and see if this thread picks up any speed, if not feel free to let it die a rather sad little weezing death. I've had to do stuff like this before but it's been a while... BOOM!

Your band, Howlin Rain, is great. Cassette release!! I'm surprised you wouldn't just use that Thunderbird-y bass (what is it?).

Any gig/tour details would be appreciated. How did you come to be considered for the gig - you're a friend of the band, you're in McGhee's Rolodex, or...? Are you going off your charts then learning the lines note-for-note or is there no need for that? Sounds like you're using Rick's rigs, was there no offer of use of his basses? No offer to get a wardrobe put together for you by their stylist? Have you jammed with the band or any of the members before? Your own hotel, rooming, or pulling rookie duty sleeping in the U-Haul to guard the gear?
