Got the new Rigel ABG check this out

I was wondering if there was any particular reason for the fret marking to be on 5,7, 10, 12 and 15? Why 10 instead of 9?

Lets start here...
Rigel Instruments - YouTube
unplugged under an ol vt maple tree in front of Pete Langdells place.
Heather & myself are lucky enough to have the very first prototype ABG from Rigel!

it is hands down the loudest, most comfortable and sweetest sounding acoustic bass guitar i have ever heard~!

We will be demonstrating this fine piece at many of our more acoustic shows in the future.
Tuesday October 25th we are planning a ABG showcase along with a couple of Rigel's other fine instruments at The Bees Knees Cafe in Morrisville, Vt. Rumor has it that the man himself will be in attendance!
checkout Link Removed for more info.
Come hear and play it for yourself.
Also..regarding pricing...i will gladly answer any questions you may have and can be reached at [email protected]
Its way more affordable than one would imagine..
Thats part of the reason Pete isnt blasting the price all over on-line. These instruments are made with love here in the green mountains of Vermont!:bassist:

Having listened to the youtube clips...this thing is a winner. Finally an ABG that can actually function acoustically! There has been nothing like it since the Earthwood, and this bass might be even more effective!

Piece of advice, though....make some youtube clips that really show this thing off. Slapping on something like this...I don't know what the purpose of that was, exactly.

You want to sell this, then show clips of it in action with a bluegrass band or something. Need me to come down there?

Are you a dealer for Rigel?

Bryan,
Rigel does everything direct there are no dealers. I got the most recent prototype and was so impressed with Pete and the product that I had to start some noise about it. To get it exposed and let the world know about this gem. My only problem is that my damned Video keeps coming out like crap and I don't want to embarass myself . Pete is a great luthier and a class act kind of guy. I really think this is the Acoustic Bass that Bass Guitar players have been waiting for.

Mail your bass to me and I'll make the video! It's not that I can play any better, I certainly can't, it's just that I'm unembarrassable. :)

Seriously, something like a simple blues scale would do just to check out the volume and tone, no need to get all fancy. :D

quick piece of advise...buy one and you can play as many simple walking blues or bluegrass basslines as you'd like! :)

or checkout the second promo where the audio clip is a more bluegrassy style played by my bassist heather in a live unplugged situation.

pete is trying to convey that its an acoustic bass with an upright sound that can be "slapped" as well as played in a more traditional, simple, tried and true, puritan fashion:) i'm not a dealer just a lucky musician who has ended up with the 1st prototype in my band and we are helping spread the word.
we do appreciate the advise though:)

Are you a dealer for Rigel?
not so much a dealer for rigel just a friend and fan:)
pete langdell sells directly himself at www.rigelinstruments.com

i would be glad to point you in the right direction and/or you can tell him i sent you:)

this is a wicked instrument that is just barely being released and in its first production run.

i can tell you that it falls well under the price i would have thought it to sell for & is the lowest priced instrument that rigel offers.

i don't believe anyones trying to be elusive about it i just think it would be best for you to get a quote from him directly as everyone's design needs may be different.

peace & thanks-rick redington

Got the video shot this morning by my Seven Year old as the last two videos were too damned grainy to be real . Well I'm a bassist not a videographer.
