Got to watch and hang with Marcus and his band at Catalina Jazz Club off Sunset in February. Grubbed down at Grand Central Market next day.

Played Miles Davis stuff, Bitches Brew, unreal night, so powerfull, nicest people in the world, period.

Just wanted to say he sold out three nights in a row, two shows a night, the place is much bigger than in the pics, it goes back deeper you just can’t tell in the pics. I asked him about playing more Miles Davis stuff and he said he especially just loves to see ppls faces when they get to the crazy parts in Bitches Brew and such. He’s right though, the place was full of top LA musicians and everyone was like daaayyyuuuuuuuuuummmm lol

Only time I got to see Marcus was the first show of the first tour of SMV, at Cain Park in '12.

Marcus is great. I saw him at a Jazz Fest in Clearwater Florida in 2018. Before his set he came out and played several songs with a the local high school jazz band. I thought that was a nice touch.

I saw Marcus in Chicago about 5 years ago. He was touring with much younger jazz musicians and it was a great show. I would love to meet him in person. Hope you had fun!
