GR Bass Carbon cabinets

I've never tried them myself but a local dealer here who has a good reputation for honesty and a trusted ear told me they are somewhat flat and clean sounding. Not much character so to speak but excellent full range. I imagine this is a winning combination with all the great preamp character pedals we have at our disposal in todays bass gear offerings or for anyone who really wants to hear their bass and nothing else.

I happen to like clean and clear, and they are that. Not sterile at all. However if you’re a fan of more “voiced” cabs, such as Ampeg, Aguilar and many others that have their own “sound” you may not dig them as much. My current point of reference is Bergantino. And I would say there are some similarities clean clear punchy and to my ear accurate sounding. I also believe my GR AT212 will go a bit lower than my Berg AE212. No buyers remorse. I’m not selling all my Berg cabs and will likely keep 2 different Neo Berg setups.
