GR Bass opinions needed (specifically the Dual Pre)

I really like the look Of the GR Dual Pre, but there is actually one review on the entire intraweb, at least that I can find. Anyone have any experience with this pre, or any of the amps/pres. I Have no other pedals, and just sold my Helix LT d/t weight and size, and also it's overkill for my use as mostly rock cover band dude. I'm also thinking of some other possible pres, and the HX Stomp XL.

Yeah, can't say I've heard of the company before, but man oh man... that pedal looks wiiiild. In a good way!

Based on the spread of their lineup and the roster of (some really world-class) musicians on the Artists page, well, those are both pluses. Idunno if youtube filters results based on language, but it's possible there are some in Italian, or that it's just a really new offering. Might be worth doing more digging or even contacting them directly for info on demos.

I have had the GR One 800 for a little over a year and it is a KILLER amp. I play it through one of their Featherweight 1x12s that ways 19 pounds. Sheesh!

These are fantastic amps and I just started looking at the pre as well. It ticks all my boxes... GR Amp, headphone out, aux in, compressor, pre/post DI. Literally the only thing it's missing for me is that it doesn't run on phantom power.

I may order one this week.

Hello everyone! Any more thoughts on this preamp? Initially I thought that it was exactly what I wanted but reading the manual carefully it seems that it has two major (and hard to understand) design flaws. I MAY BE WRONG THOUGH. so if anyone actually tested this preamp, please let me know. I really hope I am wrong.

First, the FX loop acts only on the clean signal??? If so why??

Second, the headphones monitor only one of the channels??? Wot!

ok. I hope I am wrong because these issues would be a dealbreaker for me.

Hey I bought this pedal, but I scratch my head at the DI functionality, me being new to buying hardware.

It seems that to get a decent volume out of it I need to use the Vol knob from the compressor, which basically can act as a boost.
But, when I use the XLR to send the signal to house, it doesn't send the compressor, only the EQ.

To get the compressor sound I need to use the jack output, which defeats the use of the xlr, in my mind at least.

Some sound guys told me that's intended, some say there should be a switch to allow me to send the compressor to DI output.
I don't get it.. :( can someone help?

I tried their equipment at Namm and it was amazing! I tried both of their pres, single and dual 1400, and most of their AT series speakers, 208, 210, 212… They are all loud, punchy, and lightweight, clear, clean, true tone and definition. I liked the 208 the best. It had the best combination of great sound and portability, for me.

That's strange. Which XLR output are you using? What is the position of the "Mix DI/Dual DI" switch?
