GR Bass review

Yep fair points! Overall still in love with the cab - Definitely not a dealbreaking problem with the vibrations just more of an observation that it's much more noticeable than my V4b with a 410 or my Super Bassman and 610. I don't typically bring a mic stand out so fine with just picks in the pocket and water on the floor!

Anyone ever try an Auralex Gramma pad? The link below might help with vibrations but price seems a bit steep for such a minor problem.

I've been using mine along with the occasional 115 addition for about 3 months now and have played some larger events and smaller rooms and have been constantly pleased with these cabs, and so has rest of the band.
In regard to volume adjustments, I've set my volume's according at sound checks, generally + - 1/2 way and if I need to alter at all, it will come from my preamp (or bass)I never max out my volume on sound checks, sound tech will adjust house accordingly.
The cab is going to vibrate, but what high volume bass cab doesn't. A foam pad will help, but personally I never put anything on top of a cab I don't expect to fall off, especially a liquid. It is a active cab, do you really want to take a chance of pouring water into your power amp?

Just my 2 cents, take it for what it worth
Do you notice any tonal differences controlling the volume with your preamp vs with the cab's volume itself?

My NF210V also vibrates, I suppose it's normal for this technology. My amp was sliding during rehearsal and I didn't want to take any risk, but I didn't want to invest in a Gramma pad, so I bought a cheap foam pad (just a few $). I put the foam pad between the cab and the amp (not underneath the cab). I works for me.

Maybe the smaller cabs vibrate a bit more?
I put my 2U rack bag on top mine and have never had any vibration/slippage, maybe just the size/weight makes the difference. I had a 4U rack bag on my AT212 and Slim and never had issues there either.

The HPF on Channel 2 has cutoff frequency at 1.2 kHz (F3) and slope 12 db per octave
Lemme see here... -3dB at 1.2k with a 12dB slope. So -15dB at 600Hz, -27dB at 300Hz, -39dB at 150Hz, etc. What is the purpose of this channel? It doesn't seem like it would be for amplifying a bass instrument. Or was maybe something lost in translation?

My understanding is that, with HPF activated, the channel becomes basically bi-amped: clean tone below 1.2KHz, overdriven tone above that...

Edit: that's what I hear from video presentations...

So the signal from the instrument is routed to both input channels?

No. My understanding is that when using the overdrive on Channel 2, one has two options: either to apply the overdrive to the full range signal or to apply it only to the higher frequencies (above 1.2 kHz). If one chooses the latter, the remaining lower frequencies are not affected by overdrive and remain clean...
