Grateful Dead, July 1990, Pittsburgh

Doing some kitchen demolition this morning and smashed my thumb with a 5lb hammer. Called it quits for the day, so here I lay on the couch enjoying a great show from 1990. I followed the Dead from '85 until I went in the Army in '94 and this show brought back a lot of fond memories. Phil's playing is fantastic (even though his white legs are almost blinding) and he even sings "Tom Thumb's Blues." The video quality is great as well. For those too young to have seen the Dead, this show is a perfect example of the Brent years (his keyboards are on point).

Gonna give the thumb a few hours to cool down; it's pretty angry right now...

Hope that Zoffy's Thumb Blues comes to a quick conclusion!
I grew up with people playing Grateful Dead cassettes, it's great to 'put the face to the voice' with videos for some of those shows.
The one time I saw them in person (Soldiers' Field Chicago '92 or '93) was an off night.
